How to maintain and upkeep plastic shredder equipment

There are many types and patterns of waste plastics, which come from different industries. At present, most of the recyclable materials in China are thermoplastic plastics, as they are soluble and malleable. A plastic shredder is a machine used for coarse crushing, generally used to process unprocessed raw materials or scraps to make them smaller in size.

1. The plastic shredder should be placed in a ventilated position to ensure the heat dissipation of the motor during operation and extend its lifespan.
2. Lubricating oil should be regularly added to the bearings to ensure lubrication between them.
3. Regularly check the screws of the cutting tools. After using the plastic shredder for 1 hour, use tools to tighten the screws of the moving and fixed knives, and strengthen the fixation between the blade and the knife holder.
4. To ensure the sharpness of the cutting edge of the tool, it is necessary to regularly inspect the tool to ensure its sharpness and reduce unnecessary damage to other components caused by blunt or missing blade edges.
5. When replacing cutting tools, the gap between the moving and fixed blades should be 0.8mm for crushers above 20HP and 0.5mm for plastic shredders below 20HP. The thinner the recycled material, the larger the gap can be adjusted appropriately.
6. Before the second start-up, the remaining debris in the machine room should be cleared to reduce start-up resistance. The inertia cover and pulley cover should be opened regularly to remove the ash outlet under the flange, as the powder discharged from the shredder chamber enters the shaft bearing.
7. The machine should be well grounded.
8. Regularly check whether the plastic shredder belt is loose and tighten it in a timely manner.
